With Love to Logan

erri and her daughter Logan came to Pollard House with a vision for a dreamy garden party bridal shower. I knew immediately this event was going to be amazing! Loads of friends who felt like family filled the walls with love and laughter, celebrating Logan's upcoming marriage to Jake. Armfuls of soft pink and creamy roses graced mantels, side tables, and banisters, and at the center of each table were teapots filled with blooms. Vintage teacups with succulents went home with each guest. And perhaps the most delightful detail  was the spread of edibles that filled our 9.5' table with an abundant feast. No detail was spared! My favorite were the grape tomatoes cut into hearts!

If you are all in on the presentation, like Jerri and her friends, let Pollard be the perfect vintage backdrop for your vision. If you love the feel of this bridal shower but want help bringing your vision to life, let me offer my design services. Whatever your needs, we at Pollard House want to meet them.

Congratulations and best wishes, Logan and Jake!

Hosting Kaitlyn and Ryan's wedding reception was a dream come true! Kaitlyn's vision of florals and greens gracing every possible surface created a fresh, airy feel that matched the warm summer day. Guests enjoyed each other with elegant finger-food offerings and conversation groupings inside while tables and a charming snow-cone cart offered a refreshing option outside.

Guests mingled easily through three parlors, the first introducing the bride and groom, one featuring a string quartet, another the buffet. These spaces flowed easily into the gathering rooms with ample seating and standing tables and out onto the patio and porch. The separate spaces offered an intimate feel while providing sufficient space to host a large group comfortably.

The new kitchen in Pollard House provided the catering staff ample room and amenities for food prep. With a classic feel that matched the grandeur of the building, the kitchen hardly felt like a utilitarian space, but much thought and planning made it function like one!

A beautiful space for a beautiful day! Thanks to Kaitlyn and Ryan for trusting Pollard House with their special day.

While work still continues to prepare Pollard House for the public, we were able to host a private family wedding and put this elegant home to the test. She passed with flying colors! The flow between formal spaces is natural and fluid, allowing guests to pass from festivities to respite with ease. For us, she provided a gracious and elegant backdrop for a beatiful day shared with family and friends. What a perfect way to honor our son and his bride!

We hope to be able to offer our community the same opportunity in the coming months. We are working through the levels of approval, but when the all clear is finally in our hands, we will move mountains to be ready for you and your events. Apologies and gratitude to those who have inquired about reservations. We are anxious to swing our doors wide open and welcome you in!
